a labyrinth of wet paper.
11” x 14”
ink on paris paper.
*i’ve recently become obsessed with fountain pens. more peculiar than this, though, is that i became obsessed with watching fountain pen videos on youtube. and maybe more peculiar than me watching fountain pen videos is that there are plenty of fountain pen videos to watch on youtube.
even more interesting (to me, anyway) is that there is a store in manhattan called the fountain pen hospital that, obviously, specializes in the sales of fountain pens. it’s a pretty great place, by the way, if you happen to be in the area.
anyway, i went in for a kaweco, but ended up with a lamy for the simple reason that i got a deal on it because they’re discontinuing the color, which happens to be black, and yes, that does strike me as a little odd.
i rather like the pen, even though mine came with a medium nib, and i think i would prefer the fine. also, i used lamy’s ink which i think would be better suited for writing (which i guess is what fountain pens are mainly used for), on paper that is probably better suited for markers so it was a little like drawing on wet paper. but an 11” x 14” piece of wet paper that i stared at for several hours for a week.
