This book is unlike all of the “same ole’ same ole'” script writing books on the market. Sterling Anderson writes a concise book that is actually useful. If you are looking for the same information you received by reading all the mass marketed screen writing books then pass this one by as you will get NEW information that is helpful for your writing and your career. Sterling Anderson is also a very successful writer working in the field today, not someone selling their speaking and coverage services. BUY THIS BOOK if you are a serious screen writer or new film/television writer.

This book has some quality information, and it’s not too costly. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to work in screenwriting because this gives you information on more than just how you could write a screenplay, but it gives an insight on what to expect in the business.

I’ve read several books that attempt to do what this book did–make me a better writer, by focusing on what matters.

A few years ago – I had visited with my favorite uncle about doing a screenplay. Since he does a lot of video work, and I have always been a writer (especially loving feature stories throughout my journalism program and freelance writing experience), my uncle suggested I think about screenwriting.
