Once I decided to launch my first crowd funding campaign I soon learned the process was overwhelming to say the least. I have been working on my project for over a year and pride myself on

Ok, there’s no quibbling with the title. If you are a filmmaker (or hope one day to be) this is a MUST read. John Trigonis’ book will become the Go-To resource for filmmakers looking to raise funds for their projects. But if you’re not a filmmaker, you might be surprised to find this book so throughly entertaining and highly informative — and an overall delightful read!
Should be required reading for film crowdfunding campaigns

John’s book should be required reading for anybody running a film crowdfunding campaign. If they want to reach their goal, that is. It lays out everything you need to do before, during, and after to run a successful campaign. I thought I was ready to launch, but after getting his book I postponed my campaign for a month to prepare all the pieces John recommended having in place. It was a lot of work but it paid off – we raised over $10,000 for our 1st feature film No Retreat.
INDISPENSABLE For Anyone Who Wants To Crowdfund

What a great book! Not only is it fun and inspiring, it’s comprehensive and organized in a clear, direct way for maximum effectiveness. As a film producer considering whether or not to crowdfund, I am extremely grateful that Trigonis took the time to write this book. It’s hard to make the decision to jump into the world of crowdfunding and to overcome all of the internal and external barriers that can block you from taking the plunge. Without an excellent guide like “Crowdfunding for Filmmakers” the terrain can feel overwhelming, but a guide like this book brings wonderful clarity to the whole process. I should add that although the book is geared toward filmmakers, it would be valuable for anyone planning and implementing a crowdfunding campaign of any kind. Can’t recommend this book enough! I will return to it again and again.
DO NOT crowdfund without reading this book!

I heard John on a podcast at […] and immediately bought this book. Of three crowdfunding campaigns I’ve run, one was successful and largely because I didn’t have this information prior. If you are serious about raising money and even more about building a fan base for your film, you will get this book and pay close attention. There is so much incredible info! Thank you John Trigonis for putting it down on paper and spreading the word so more filmmakers can find success with their projects. As I look to my next couple films in production, I have no doubt my success rate is going to be far different then before. This is absolutely a MUST READ!!!

I’ve heard the author speak at film events and he’s engaging and intelligent. Having access to his knowledge and experience in book form (where he lays out detailed analyses of what works and what doesn’t) is an invaluable tool for filmmakers about to take the plunge. Don’t jump into the crowdfunding pool with out it or you may drown in the process.
While the author does focus a good deal of the content on film projects

John Trigonis gives you a complete plan for creating a successful crowd funding campaign. My copy is marked up with specific advice in dozens of areas ranging from team building to the mechanics—keeping contributors in the loop throughout the campaign, handling the 3P’s (pitch, perks and promotion) and much more. I was curious to learn how a book written to crowd fund for a movie would translate to other goals. While the author does focus a good deal of the content on film projects, the advice he imparts is relevant and applicable to virtually any kind of project. You can’t go wrong with his book.
An absolute must-have if you’re seriously considering crowdfunding YOUR next project.

A few months ago I attempted to run an Indiegogo campaign for a feature film project I’m working on. Of the projected funds I wanted to raise, I only got a meager $45. The campaign WAS total disaster, to say the least.
A great resource for crowdfunders, not just filmmakers!

This book is amazing. John T. Trigonis has set the standard for books on crowdfunding. To be honest I ran a campaign last year that was unsuccessful. The information that John presents in his book just wan’t out there in one place yet.

Full disclosure. I have run a successful campaign on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo. I read John Trigonis’ book “Crowd Funding for Filmmakers” between the two campaigns. By and far, John’s sound advice in this book not only made my second campaign a success, but by using the advice, and stories, in this book I was able to double my supporters and raise more money than I had on the first campaign.
