Alan Cohen is one of my favorite authors and I had read all of his books …

Alan Cohen is one of my favorite authors and I had read all of his books like “The Dragon Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and several others. One day I inputted his name in the Amazon search bar, and VOILA! Books by Cohen that I hadn’t read! So I bought this one (“I Had It All The Time”) and “A Course in Miracles Made Easy”. Cohen is conversational, uses humor well, and pulls me into his world. I like it.

Was enjoyable. Is easy to read. I had some trouble keeping interest. I’m less interested in his experience unless it sheds light on my quest. It missed that mark for me.

Still a Great Read for a Quick Wakeup

“I Had It All the Time” is the best of a group of powerful calls to wake your mind up and “see the light” of what is bothering you. In fact, its style of brief stories is compelling in that they are short and to the point. The best part, one doesn’t have to read this book, chapter by chapter or in order. You can pick it up and open it to any page and get a life lesson. I keep it by my bedside table, just for that purpose. It is not a new book, but is perfect for any generation. And, I have used it for reference in many ways throughout the years.

This book has all the information that I paid thousands of dollars towards taking self-help and spiritual journey seminars and workshops. Well worth the price and time to read.

This is one book I highly recommend to anyone who is feeling confuse about spirituality, religion, meditation, being, life purpose etc. Even though it was written in 1995, the content and context is as relevant for today, in fact alot more relevant. Alan Cohen writes from his heart, you can feel his essence and humanness through the pages. I love his illustrations, quotes and the last part where it said Burn the Bible (not literally) but rather to live the truth within ! If you are seeking the truth, read this book and then burn it too, write your own and live the truth ! Lots of clarity and integration for a seeker like me, thank you Alan Cohen.

reading it now…….feel better each morning, just embracing a few chapters each day. Things we may already know…but have just forgotten to enlist into our daily lives…I live a positive lifestyle – this is just a shot in the arm to amp it up a bit

Without a doubt, the most useful and life-altering book I’ve ever read. It’s my “bible.”

This is one of my all-time favorite books ever. I love it and have so many sticky tabs throughout it! I highly recommend it. It is written in a positive, simple manner. It expresses views of the Universe/God as I see it – wanting good for all (vs the fire & brimstone, if I give you something good you must sacrifice what you love, war-like Universe/God).

Perfect despite a glaring imperfection

Despite the author’s assurance that I should “burn this book,” upon reaching the end, I was tempted to flip back to the first page and read it again. The writing style is funny, witty, and engaging, yet also wise and insightful; full of powerful reminders of our true nature, and exercises to help us overcome our illusions of limitation. As I neared the end, I was already calculating how many books I wanted to order to distribute as Christmas presents when I discovered a somewhat obnoxious glitch – there’s a page missing and a duplicate author’s bio is printed in its place. Nevertheless, this is one of the best books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, and I highly recommend it.

There is so much to gain from reading this book I am starting to read it again as each page has a nugget of wisdom or something to think about and apply in your life.
