This book is a fascinating philosophical mystery that deftly captures man’s struggle for knowledge of himself, his relation to society, and to his religious leanings. The story, as experienced by Vignesh, a precocious and curious 12-year old, centers around the theft of a sacred idol of Shakti from a village temple devoted to the goddess. In a series of encounters, as he searches for the missing idol, Vignesh enters into a dead man’s body to consult a learned astrologer. He is beset by a mystical force in a strangely powerful pond on the temple’s ground, and then has a confrontation with another occult entity on an interior mental screen. While providing hints about the stolen idol, this force also instructs Vignesh in the mysteries of life including the workings of time and multiple roles in multiple deaths.

Sri Vishwanath is the author of numerous bestsellers including “The Power of Visualization” and is ranked in the top 50 most popular authors in “Mind, body and spirit” by Amazon. He divides his time between United States of America and Mumbai, India.

This book is written because Sri Vishwanath did visit famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple in South India in November 2012. This led to the reason why he wanted to write and share his story, a message to capture your heart. A term you need to know: Sanctum Sanctorum is Latin meaning, “Holy of Holies,” which many writings talk about.

I rated this eBook as 4-Star, since Sri Vishwanath used the novel aspect of this story to educate the reader by first drawing his protagonist into a possibly identifiable situation the reader might at least imagine having to deal with given the circumstances –and, whether or not said reader would opt to make the same or even similar choices given the same opportunities, the education provided(read forced) a western reader to learn through his/her own choices made out of identifying somewhat with the main character. So, then, through considering mistakes made in some worrisome situations described he teaches the reader that what first appears to be exactly the right thing to do, the reader is shown s/he should first have considered that there seemingly are always unknown consequences lying in wait for his/her even innocent carelessness. Even some of the best choices require the experiencing of disappointment/or fearful regret for the less favorable choices made. I was totally ignorant of the complexity of this process and of the heart-rending judgments this actually demanded of ‘our hero’. I hope now I can retain some of the wisdom these lessons provided.

I am a Christian, therefore I view this book is a fantasy. But it’s much more than that because it’s based on the Hindu belief in reincarnation and the many lives of one soul from its beginning to the end of time.

This story was inside of Sri Vishwanth for more than seven years before it’s acual publication. They say that when the student is ready the teacher will come. I believe that this book was a lesson for the author as well as all those who openly embarse it’s wise words of wisdom and story line. If you do not believe in the Hindu belief’s or if you want to learn more this book can or cannot be for you to read. I enjoyed the 11 chapters and the story line.

This is a beautiful, extended allegory that seeks to transcend time, religions and philosophies. The story does not actually force you to believe various tenets but shows you the way to your heart and soul. The mystical parts serve as a great teaching method and leave the reader thinking about the mysteries of the universe. Definitely a great read!!!
