We are often our own worst enemy. We all have negative thoughts at times, and over time these negative thoughts can take their toll and taint how we see ourselves. In this little book, author Mike Adams offers 25 action steps for “refocusing” – changing the way we see things in order to turn things around for the better. The first step in boosting self esteem is to let go of the past and look to the future. Some of the action steps are obvious, like “Low self esteem thrives on negative thoughts.” Taken as a whole, however, the book includes some sound advice for raising one’s self esteem. In this book I found very interesting and important points that I never though of. I do understand this subject because many times I was in this situation that I was in doubt if other would accept me as I am or if I can do what I really want/able to. Having my mother’s favorite child in my family (which was my younger sister) created this low self esteem condition that basically affects me through all my life.

I think this little book contains of a lot true faacts and sayings. Already the subtitles give you a very good idea of what the explanation and steps will be about and then the reader get it laid out all very well. Sometimes, very seldomly though, things are repeated, but as the whole content and the topic itself is a lot about training and repetition, I still can give 4 stars for this small helper. But I would have enjoyed some more reasons, why a step will work. Nonetheless a very good work… enjoy reading it. And most important, start working on your self-esteem…

I like that way the book has been presented with its 25 tips to be practiced over a period opp time . I find it particularly useful to me because I am responsible for a number of adolescents from broken homes or similar backgrounds and need boosting of their self esteem and this book comes handy for me . I strongly recommend it .
