Tom Daley’s work is as perfectly described as ‘Quiet Places’. Toms mastery of water color and his artist’s eye for the special moments known to all real sportsmen capture, in perfect harmony, those special misty moments we so cherish.

This book is a wonderful collection of Thomas Aquinas Daly’s work. He does not instruct, but provides some very subtle insight into his painting style and process. The landscapes rival Turner and his still life paintings are equal to Vermeer. He makes his quiet places very quiet and very special indeed.

Rather than tricks or gimmicks, this painter has taught himself to see shapes of color, juxtaposed. His bold division of space and handling of textures and edges are wonderful. His paintings evoke a sense of place, atmosphere and wonder at the “natural” world. These watercolors go beyond the ordinary.
