It’s a good book for Cecchetti method study. I had to return a used copy I bought due to picture pages being torn out which made it useless. I was promptly reimbursed.

I bought this for my daughter who is a recently retired professional dancer who is now teaching. She has found it very helpful and says she will continue to refer back to it. The only thing lacking is actual step-by-step directions for the exercises. Definitely a good purchase.

I’m a 56yr old male and reasonably fit and decided I wanted to learn ballet. I’ve started beginner lessons. I wanted a book on theory and was recommended this. Its excellent. I’m working my way through it VERY slowly. It explains the basicis clearly and gives really good explanations on exercises. I sit, read, then try the exercises.
Good for ballet teaching

Believe me, this is a book well worth adding to your library. It is as specific in detail as both the Kirov and Bolshoi ‘lessons in classical ballet’ manuals. Cecchetti classes are named after the days of the week so on any day the teacher would announce that ‘today we are doing the Tuesday class’. Anyone teacher keen on investigating different techniques will find this work highly informative and it will assist in the broadening of their vocational students’ dance vocabulary.
THIS IS FOR ALL CECCHETTI TECHNIQUE DANCERS < BUY! BUY! BUY!
