Good information for manifesting

Many of the teachers I read have stated they got their start reading people like Wallace D. Wattles. I never found anything on him, though, until I got a Kindle and was looking for reading material. Try it! This early guru was way ahead of his time, but his writings are part of the foundation for all “the secret” talk that is currently so popular. Try it! It’s only a few cents, and make help you return much more than that.

Makes more sense than SECRET

I have read all of the Wallace D. Wattles books and in my opinion, they are by far more realistic than SECRET (which was based on the Wattles’ Science of Getting Rich). I also have the CD Science of Getting Rich and listen to it frequently. The Wattles Collection are worth repeated readings to come to grips of the full meaning. I have recommended his books to several family members and friends.

Straighforward and Sincere

I never really read books…especially Fiction. I’d rather read reference material, those with “practical appeal”. The problem is I get so self-absorbed with stories if not downright involved with the characters. I don’t know why but I believe others who prefer non-Fiction will have the same sentiments as me.

With the advent of E-Readers, I wanted to try out reading again (whatever) and this collection of self-help books by Wallace D. Wattles is my first Amazon Kindle purchase for the inviting fee of $2.99. I must say I couldn’t advance to writing stuff on the Internet (my blogs, comments on social-networking sites, etc…) without finishing this book first. I put it up like a kind of self-proclaimed mini-challenge…to further my progress in Reading, and halt my incessant chit-chat on the web…not that I really do 😉

Although not such a heavy read…it is actually easy reading based on Google’s free e-books site, I finished reading it after 3 weeks of purchase. Needless to say, I am “into” these self-help books and I enjoyed reading The Sciences on Being Rich, Well, and Great’s rather comprehensive strategy on life. I really wanted the thoughts to impress upon me (like meditate on its self-contained wisdom), which is why it probably took me a long time to finish…which I do with books really. It gives the reader a mental set on how to face life’s challenges in a refreshing way…which others will merely refer to as having a positive outlook in life. Well, I myself, have always been a pessimist of sorts and this book gives me a strong foothold on that so-called positive attitude or outlook, and guides me along the way. Pretty helpful!

I clearly recommend it to people who think, have a need to shed light on their current problems, whatever they may be…especially those who purchased a Kindle without having a clue as to what to buy with it. I say buy a copy and you’ll never have a reason to look back on your (rather expensive electronic) purchase. This e-book will set you free…instantly from financial woes and whoas! I believe it only costs $.99 if you live in North America, and is a no-brainer easy pick of the bunch!

Final verdict: I loved it and it makes me love my Kindle more!!! First mission accomplished!

Wattles was one of the pioneers of this type of self help book along with Napoleon Hill and James Allen.

It’s also nice to read someone who has command of the language.

I also believe that this was one of the influences for Rhonda Byrne’s, “The Secret”.

I do enjoy reading material that has lasted for a long time.

You probably really don’t have to read any of the more recent books on this subject because this one covers it pretty good. But if you are like myself, you’ll read them anyway just to maybe get another point of view.

I am of the school of thought, that even if you only get one idea from a book, it is worth the money.

One of the first "positive thinking" self improvement authors.

It’s still applicable and beneficial to adopt and apply. Many modern authors are just following in his footsteps.

Bob Proctor gives him credit in "You Were Born Rich".

Good Reading

Good information, but due to the age of the book, some info is outdated. Overall, this was a good book with good, possibly life changing information, if you actually apply what is taught.

Very interesting.
