I use these books for both of my homeschooling boys. I can see them building skills. I can get them to do this without too much of a fight.

This is a workbook we purchased for our home lessons. It is a great workbook! On the left is the story your child reads (aloud or to themselves) and then they answer the comprehension questions on the right. We just started this book and I’m glad I got it because my daughter was struggling with the comprehension. The questions are not difficult but they have her think about the story in new ways she hasn’t thought of yet, which is awesome. Very pleased with this book!

We used these in school to help kids who needed a bit of a brush up on their comprehension skills. Great book to get if you work well with your child at home.

I was looking for a comprehensive test preparation book for my 3rd-grader and I found a gem! This book takes testing apart step-by-step, clearly explaining what topics show up on standardized tests, how to approach each of those topics, and provides fantastic tips on how to find answers even when you may be unfamiliar with the topic at hand.

I really liked the book, it was very helpful in identifying weak areas in my son’s schooling. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather than a 5 is it doesn’t include time limits for the tests, which the real tests have.

Great book; wish it was bigger. Finished it too soon and had to come up with more books to teach from for the 2nd semester of 3rd grade.
